Be part of something new in Lansing! The Bay Family of Companies is growing, and we're looking for a Machine Operator to join our team at our new Lansing, Michigan location. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a new operation and play an important role in building a safe, efficient, and successful production team. As a Machine Operator, you'll operate and set up production equipment, maintain quality standards, keep materials moving efficiently, and help ensure our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:

Safely set up and operate laminators and band saws Complete daily equipment safety inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance Adjust machine settings to meet production and customer specifications Perform quality and compliance checks throughout production Track production, waste, downtime, and material usage accurately Stage materials to keep production running smoothly Assist with loading, unloading, packaging, and shipping as needed Maintain accurate inventory and production records Help ensure finished products are properly labeled, stored, and prepared for shipment Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe Work closely with General Laborers and other team members to maintain an efficient workflow Follow all safety procedures and promptly communicate equipment or workplace concerns Requirements What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and takes pride in doing quality work.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred Forklift certification or ability to become certified Ability to read and follow work instructions Strong attention to detail Good communication and teamwork skills Basic computer skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain active throughout the shift Previous experience with fiberglass insulation or manufacturing is a plus, but not required A Great Opportunity to Get In on the Ground Floor Help us build our Lansing operation from the start.
