Job Description

Primary:
Move, handle and prepare bars for shipment or processing per department procedures.

Possess and demonstrate ability to qualify and perform the sequential position(s) in the Finishing Area.

Maintains housekeeping per checklist and as assigned
Secondary:
In general this Job classification assists and performs the less technical functions and responsibilities performed by the Process Line Operator.
TRAINING AND/OR BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
Completion of Finishing Floorman/Qualification ChecklistAcquire and maintain valid Lift Truck Operators permit.

Acquire and maintain valid Remote Crane Operators Permit. ­­­­

Maintain housekeeping in areaMaintain safe work environmentAttend safety meetingsReport/repair any unsafe condition or equipmentObserve and follow all departmental safety rules and regulations (including Cardinal Safety Rules).
COST/PRODUCTION RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
Proper handling, storage, retrieval and inspection of finished product.

ENVIRONMENTAL RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee is expected to know, understand, and follow all applicable Federal, State, and Local environmental legal requirements and practices.

Responsible for and completing all required annual safety and environmental training (inc. fugitive dust and torch cutting).Responsible for spill prevention, containment, response and clean up or assist in clean up of material spills.
