Temp to Hire Start Your Manufacturing Career The Advance Group is hiring a 2nd Shift Machine Operator in Monroe, MI. This manufacturing and production position is ideal for candidates with previous manufacturing, machine operation, production, or industrial experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be willing to train on either 1st shift or 3rd shift before moving to the permanent 2nd shift schedule. Machine Operator Job Responsibilities As a Machine Operator, you will: Follow all manufacturing process documentation and production procedures Load and unload raw materials according to production specifications Perform quality checks including Differential Scanning Calorimetry, weight checks, and QA inspections Monitor and maintain utility systems, including boiler room checks Complete silo inspections, transfers, and material handling tasks Maintain Horizontal Burn and waste water treatment (WWT) chemical levels Mix chemicals and transport materials to production hoppers Monitor manufacturing processes using computer systems Adjust water flow, temperature, and air levels as needed Interpret production data to identify quality or production issues Operate within safety and quality standards at all times Support team production goals in a manufacturing environment Machine Operator Requirements Qualified candidates should have: Previous manufacturing, production, machine operator, or industrial experience Experience working with metric measurements Ability to interpret basic production and quality data Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to follow work instructions and production procedures Good communication and teamwork skills High school diploma or GED required Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred (training available) Physical requirements include: Standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds Why Work With The Advance Group?
