Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $25.00 - 25.00
What you'll do: Set
up and operate sheet metal fabricating machines, such as press brakes, shears,
turret punch presses, saws, and presses, to cut, bend, and form sheet metal
according to blueprints and specifications JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
- Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
- Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
- Perform the above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance, and safety standards
- Maintain valid forklift/stand-up license- including completion of daily fork truck maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipment Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and bar code scanners systems
- Responsible for maintaining inventory record accuracy through accurate stock transfers and cycle counts Transports materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to pallet jack, forklift, stand-up and/or pac mule What you need to be successful:
- Math skills including converting fractions to decimals
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to read a blueprint or be trained to read a blueprint
- Problem solving skills
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds and sliding 100 pounds without assistance
- Clean department and maintain neatness in the surrounding work areas
