Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Operator for Wire Harness Assembly to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing complex wire harness assembly processes with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality electrical components that meet strict industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technologies and contribute to innovative electrical solutions. This position will have an opportunity to work beside the Technicians in the Lab . Position must have the skill to gain understanding of customer requests, understanding PPAP requirements, participate in process reviews, and other functions key to the launch and quality of new programs. The Operator will work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production to ensure accuracy of processes, and all quality requirements are followed. Responsibilities
- Be able to build parts to print with minimum documentation and ensure full manufacturability with little supporting documentation while sitting for an extended period of time.
- Ensure on-time completion of products assigned
- Be able to set up and complete jobs
- Must be able to verify all paperwork is correct for a job. These will include detailed Operating Instruction, Wire/Cable processing Sheets, Test/Layout Fixtures, Wire processing fixtures, Check sheets.
- Collaborate with engineering/quality to maintain proper documentation/fixture control procedures
- Assist with prototype/engineering builds of programs based on preliminary documentation.
- Gain understanding of ERP system to develop new assembly items, detail required processes, input BOM, and other processing requirements.
- Aid in development of PPAP requirements based on specified customer requirements, i.e. Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow, part layouts, etc.
- Make certain that DBA Labor Timesheet is filled out correctly and turned in each day EDUCATION and
TRAINING
The Production Associate is required, as a minimum, to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. The Production Manager and the Human Resource Manager can determine whether education and training are "equivalent" based on their experience. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, Titmus test and IPC certification. IndividualTECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITY
Use and knowledge of a ruler is essential.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for small part assembly, including grasping, twisting, and manipulating wires and tools.
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills required.
- Ability to distinguish colors and read small print (used in wire identification and labeling).
- Occasional lifting of light materials (up to 15 pounds).
- Visual acuity to perform close-up work with small components.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in a seated position at a workstation.
- May involve repetitive motions and prolonged focus on detailed tasks.
- Use of small tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, or soldering equipment may be required.
- Provide on-the-job assistance to new associates as directed by a lead or assistant lead.
- Assist in evaluation of processing of new project releases through Pilot and production implementation
- Coordinate with quality/purchasing in researching of environmental compliance requirements (ROHS/REACH).
Pay:
