Job Description

Position Summary:
Set up, operate and clean mixing equipment. Prepare solutions using various mixing equipment and documented work instructions. Obtain solution samples for testing. Troubleshoot solution problems and adjust solution, within guidelines, in order to meet solution specifications. Follow mixing priorities to ensure timely delivery of solution to coating machines. Coordinator corrective action with the supervisor. Follow defined procedures for waste removal. Identify, pack, move (inside the facility) or prepare for disposal of hazardous materials, including solvent laden rags, waste solutions and clean up materials.
Position Responsibilities:
Collect materials/chemicals for preparing solutions while applying knowledge of code, safe handling, use and storage techniques. Utilizing documented work instructions and work order documents, set up equipment and prepare solutions. Calculate solution consumption for coating runs. Troubleshoot solution problems and make adjustments, within guidelines, to solutions. Obtain product samples for testing and perform mixing quality assurance testing when required. Clean all mixing equipment after use. Following defined procedures for chemical waste documentation and handling. Perform mixing preventative maintenance activities. Working knowledge of applicable QMS procedures and problem solving method. Document production, process, and quality data. Train personnel in position responsibilities when qualified and authorized to do so. Maintain work area in accordance with all applicable safety, housekeeping, and environmental policies and practices. Perform other duties as required by supervisor/group leader.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 1 year at Coater/Mixer Trainee or equivalent experience. High School Diploma or GED. Certified forklift operator preferred. Good PC skills preferred.
