Junior Compounder Merit Manufacturing - 2.8 Warren, MI Job Details Full-time 18 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance Qualifications Moving Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Shop math Safety equipment Full Job Description Junior Compounder Mix It. Measure It. Make It Matter. Have you ever wondered how shampoo, body wash, lotion, beard oil, and other personal-care products go from a formula on paper to a finished product on the shelf?
At Merit Manufacturing, that transformation starts with our Compounding team and we're looking for a motivated Junior Compounder who is ready to learn the craft.
This is not a "stand around and watch" position. You'll work alongside experienced Compounders to weigh ingredients, prepare materials, operate equipment, document batches, and help transform raw materials into products used by people across the country.
You don't need years of compounding experience. You do need to be dependable, comfortable with basic math, willing to ask questions, and serious about getting the details right. A Little About Us Merit Manufacturing is a fast-growing contract manufacturer in the personal-care industry.
What does that mean? We help nationwide brands bring their products to life!
We recently moved into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility unlike anything our industry has seen. Whether you're working in the warehouse, on the production floor, in Compounding, or in the lab, you'll be part of a team that is building something exceptional.
Most importantly, we care about the people behind the products.
We want our employees to have opportunities to learn, grow, advance, and build sustainable careers. At Merit, your voice matters, your ideas are valued, and your work makes a difference every day. What You'll Be Mixing Up Gather, verify, weigh, and stage ingredients according to approved formulas. Assist with mixing, heating, cooling, blending, and transferring product batches. Learn how to safely operate tanks, pumps, scales, hoses, and compounding equipment. Double-check material names, lot numbers, weights, quantities, temperatures, and processing times. Complete batch records, labels, and production documents accurately and in real time. Collect product samples and watch for changes in color, odor, texture, temperature, or consistency. Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, containers, and work areas. Safely move and label raw materials and finished bulk products. Speak up immediately when something doesn't look right. You Might Be Our Perfect Mix If You… Enjoy working with your hands and learning how things are made. Believe the little details make a big difference. Are comfortable with basic math, decimals, fractions, measurements, and conversions. Can follow formulas and step-by-step instructions without taking shortcuts. Ask questions when something is unclear instead of guessing. Take pride in being reliable, organized, and ready to work. Accept coaching and use feedback to improve. Care about safety, cleanliness, quality, and doing the job correctly. No Experience? Don't Count Yourself Out! Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or chemical processing is helpful—but it is not required.
We're willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, basic math skills, and a genuine willingness to learn. How We Work at Merit Our values aren't just words on a wall. They guide how we show up every day: Don't provide excuses—produce results. Do what you say you're going to do. Back up your decisions with data. Be the authority by learning your craft. Earn trust and keep it. As a Junior Compounder, you'll build trust by following approved formulas, verifying every ingredient, completing accurate documentation, and speaking up when something doesn't seem right.
