Job Description

Innovance, Inc., an employee-owned manufacturing leader in Albert Lea, MN, is seeking a 2nd Shift Tube Laser Operator. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor tube laser equipment to cut and fabricate metal components to precise specifications. You'll interpret blueprints, perform quality checks with measurement tools, and complete basic machine adjustments and preventive maintenance. Working in a safety-focused, collaborative culture, you'll support continuous improvement while gaining exposure to advanced automation, fabrication, and machining technologies across Innovance's family of companies. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor tube laser machines for metal cutting and fabrication Interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure accurate parts Perform in-process quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges Adjust machine settings, perform basic troubleshooting, and complete changeovers Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area Handle raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper identification and storage Document production data, defects, and maintenance needs Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives Perform routine preventive maintenance on tube laser equipment Communicate issues to supervision to minimize downtime and maintain quality Required Skills Tube laser operation CNC machine operation Blueprint reading Metal fabrication Calipers and micrometers use Quality inspection Machine setup and changeover Basic CNC programming or editing Material handling Preventive maintenance
