Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision plans Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Folder Gluer Operator to join our production team in Maple Grove, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of industrial folder gluer machinery, ensuring top-tier quality, precise glue application, and seamless workflow from raw blanks to finished packaging.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:
Safely operate industrial folder gluer machines, specifically Bobst, Moll, or Jagenberg equipment.
Setup & Adjustments:
Interpret work orders, job tickets, and technical bending plans to accurately adjust feeders, pre-fold sections, folding rails, and delivery belts.
Glue Systems Management:
Set up and verify hot-melt and cold glue systems, guaranteeing precise glue patterns, clean application, and strong structural adhesion.
Line Efficiency:
Feed raw blanks or oversee automatic feeders to maintain optimal line speed and prevent bottlenecks for downstream packers.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Quickly clear jams, clean glue heads and rollers, diagnose mechanical or misfeed issues, and perform routine preventative maintenance.
Team Leadership & Reporting:
Guide and train assistant operators and temporary crew members. Log production counts, downtime, and waste accurately into tracking systems.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating folder-gluer equipment within a commercial print, packaging, or folding-carton environment.
Technical Skills:
