Compounder/Batching Technician Compounders blend/mix ingredients for large batch formulations in preparation of filling candles. Work is performed by following standard operating procedure and specific work instruction. Key Responsibilities Read and follow mixing instructions to blend ingredients in large kettles Weigh drums and raw ingredients using scales Transfer large drums to/from industrial tanks using assistive equipment Record raw material and product measurements by following standard operating procedure, and requirements Support and improve R&D and scale up processes Maintain material and process logs Perform sampling and testing of batched product Transfer batched product to production filling line Assist in pre-weigh Clean, sanitize and properly maintain all compounding and related equipment Maintain and record chemical inventory May drive sit down forklift Maintain a clean and safe working environment Understand and promote safety protocols Wear designated personal protection equipment (PPE) Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong computer software Strong English ability - understanding, reading, writing and speaking Able to accept direction and follow instructions Able to read and follow written standard work protocols Perform basic math - count, add, subtract and use a calculator Excellent attention to details Strong organization and time management skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Able to use a computer and read a scale Able to stand and walk majority of an 8-hour shift Able to lift up to 50 pounds Trained or willing to be trained to drive forklift Able to work with sense of urgency to meet deadlines Flexibility to work occasional overtime including Saturday Preferred Qualifications Prior manufacturing work experience Prior compounding experience
