3005977321-2 Apply for this job now Job Description TSG - The Sheridan Group, a boutique strategic communications and public affairs firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to support production of high-quality print and communication materials. In this on-site role, you will set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing and finishing equipment, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery for advocacy and public affairs campaigns. Responsibilities include equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, quality checks, data logging, and adherence to safety standards. You'll work closely with a collaborative, high-performance team committed to impact. Responsibilities Operate and monitor manufacturing and finishing equipment according to standard operating procedures Set up, calibrate, and adjust machinery for production runs and custom communication materials Inspect in-process and finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency with client specifications Record production data, downtime, and material usage in tracking systems Follow safety, housekeeping, and equipment lockout/tagout procedures Collaborate with project managers and production leads to prioritize and schedule jobs Perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues Assist with material handling, staging, and inventory of substrates and supplies Required Skills Equipment operation Mechanical troubleshooting Quality control inspection Basic machine maintenance Production scheduling support Material handling Safety and OSHA compliance Reading production work orders Data entry and production logging Print or finishing processes
