Job Description

ShopSabre is a Lakeville, Minnesota based company that was founded in 2001. We are a leading designer and manufacturer of CNC routers and plasma tables that are used in a variety of high-precision machining operations to cut wood, steel, aluminum and other metals. The company supplies a broad range of customers from small businesses to large corporations as well as individuals and artisans. ShopSabre has experienced significant growth since its founding by providing a quality product supported by excellent customer service. ShopSabre has an immediate opening for a Machine Shipper/Handler who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. Our machine shippers are involved in moving finished machines from assembly to the shipping area, preparing machines for shipment, and loading machines onto flatbed trailers. This role involves operating forklifts, building pallets, ensuring shipment documentation is correct, and assisting truckers in loading and securing machines. This role also includes final machine detailing, paint touchup, and machine wrapping. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working quickly and efficiently to keep finished goods moving from assembly to trucks. Qualified applicants must also be proficient with hand and power tools, along with excellent attention to detail as this role is the last step before machines are shipped to customers. This role requires occasional overtime (1-8 hours/week).
Requirements and Skills:
Excellent mechanical skills Good communication skills Comfortable using power tools (drills, impacts, circular saw, nail gun, etc.) Extreme attention to detail (final inspection, documentation, and BOLs) Ability to follow directions and retain information Reliable & dependable Forklift certified (will offer forklift certification) Must be able to comply with all safety standards Able to lift 50 lbs. or more repeatedly Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and walk around for entirety of the shift Willing to collaborate with others to analyze and solve issues Ability to work independently Being able to speak multiple languages a plus but not required Willingness to learn new duties as needed
