Job Title:
Machine Operator Job Description This entry-level position involves operating a metal stamping machine in a large, air-conditioned production shop. You will work around large industrial equipment, perform basic visual quality checks on metal parts, and support other departments as needed. The role requires consistent standing, regular lifting of 20-50 pounds, and a strong focus on safety and quality. Responsibilities Operate a metal stamping machine safely and efficiently throughout the shift. Perform basic visual quality inspections on metal parts to ensure they meet required standards. Stand at the machine for the majority of the workday while monitoring production. Lift and move materials and parts weighing between 20 and 50 pounds on a regular basis. Follow production procedures and safety guidelines when working around large machinery. Assist in other departments and production areas as needed to support overall workflow. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Communicate any equipment issues, defects, or production concerns to the appropriate personnel. Essential Skills Ability to work safely around large industrial machines. Capability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds throughout the day. Comfort standing for extended periods during the entire shift. Basic visual inspection skills and attention to detail for quality checks. Willingness to assist in multiple departments as production needs change. Strong work ethic and reliability, including consistent attendance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with metal is a plus. Prior machine operation or production experience is beneficial. Ability to handle physical labor in a manufacturing environment. Interest in learning machine setups and programming over time. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Lake, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
