Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Crating and Packing Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing products for shipment by designing, assembling, and securing custom crates and packaging solutions that meet safety and quality standards. Your expertise will ensure that all items are protected during transit, adhering to industry regulations and company procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient production workflows while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Assemble custom crates and packing materials using hand tools, industrial equipment, and packaging machinery in accordance with manufacturing standard operating procedures. Interpret production documents and packing instructions to ensure precise assembly and packaging processes. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely to move heavy materials and finished products within the warehouse or manufacturing area. Conduct mechanical troubleshooting on packaging equipment to resolve issues quickly and minimize downtime. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling materials, crates, or finished goods to maintain efficiency and prevent injury. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively. Experience operating packaging equipment, hand tools, and material handling equipment such as forklifts. Familiarity with manufacturing facility operations, including warehouse procedures and safety standards in production environments. Ability to interpret manufacturing documents, production instructions, and assembly guidelines accurately. Basic math skills for measurements, weight calculations, and quality assessments. Understanding of industrial safety protocols including heavy lifting techniques and safety standard compliance. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
