Position Overview:

First of three levels of manufacturing operator job classifications. As a member of a production team, responsibilities are to perform repetitive, relatively simple assembly, packaging, light mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly work of low complexity. Work from samples or assembly drawings following close direction and supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assemble parts or components according to written, and/or verbal instructions. Utilize hand tools and fixtures to perform processes. Package completed products for delivery to finished goods. Responsible for quality of work with ability to check own work. Perform routine cleanup and maintenance within the manufacturing department. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or

GED Preferred Experience:

1-2 years of experience

Competencies and Skills:

Basic English skills required. Basic math and comparison skills required. Must have great attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow verbal and written assembly instructions. Must have demonstrated teamwork and communication skills. Positive interpersonal skills w/ability to communicate effectively & project a positive image. Observe established safety regulations and procedures. Ability to work overtime when required.

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to see and handle small parts Continuous mental and/or visual attention is required Typical production/warehouse environment w/varying temperatures Ability to work overtime
