Job Title:
Machine Operator / Fabricator Job Description This role involves measuring, cutting, and fabricating aluminum components in a manufacturing shop environment. You will operate fabrication equipment safely and accurately while using a tape measure consistently throughout your shift to ensure precise measurements and high-quality output. Responsibilities Measure aluminum materials accurately using a tape measure throughout the shift. Cut aluminum to specified dimensions using appropriate fabrication tools and machines. Fabricate aluminum components according to production specifications and work instructions. Operate fabrication and cutting machinery safely and efficiently in a manufacturing shop environment. Inspect materials and finished parts to ensure they meet quality and measurement standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations. Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Essential Skills Proven ability to measure materials accurately using a tape measure throughout the workday. Hands-on experience with cutting metal, particularly aluminum, in a manufacturing or shop environment. Basic machine operation skills related to fabrication and cutting processes. Ability to read and follow production measurements, instructions, and specifications. Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and high-quality fabrication. Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certifications and/or formal schooling related to manufacturing or fabrication are a plus. Previous experience in metal fabrication or a similar machine operator role is beneficial. Familiarity with shop safety practices and safe operation of fabrication equipment. Ability to work effectively as part of a production team and communicate clearly with coworkers. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
