Job Description

Schattdecor is a global market-leader in décor surfaces for the woodworking industry, with headquarters in Germany. We print authentic woodgrains, stones, fantasy designs as well as solid colors on paper. Depending on the market, it follows a specific finishing process which is then used by our customers to manufacture furniture, flooring and RV applications. The 3rd Press Operators are responsible for providing support to the operator with the task of keeping the printing press running in an orderly fashion. This involves multiple tasks around the press to keep things organized and prepared.
Job Requirements:
Package printed product at rewinder station; Splice new base paper rolls at unwinder station; Remove roll headers and unwrap base paper rolls; Clean equipment with high power washer; Swap pans/splash guards/doctor blades in and out of the printing press; Swap cylinders and impression rollers in and out of the printing press; Enter finished product into BDE/SAP software system; Measure length and width of the product with a measuring tape; Measure ink quantities with ability to note amounts; Make ink additions; Drive a forklift to transport roll to and from scale; Assist team members with printing operations; Cleaning parts of the printing press and equipment; Doing laundry for production rags; Keep areas clean and in good order; Comply with recycling rules; Empty paper baler and trim basket when necessary; Other duties as assigned;
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent; Knowledge in printing processes preferred; Basic math skills including fractions; Basic computer knowledge; BDE/SAP experience preferred; Basic understanding of mechanics; Ability to work in a team and independently; Ability to see colors; Ability to pick up and carry heavy equipment over short distances ; Ability to walk short distances multiple times during the day; Ability to reaching overhead up to 7 ft. in the air; Ability to push and/or pull up to 50lbs. unassisted ; Ability to stand for 8 hours a day;
