DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY

5.1 Comply with all Safety and Quality procedures

5.2 Meet production demands established by team lead and supervisor without compromising Safety or quality.

5.3 Set up and operate machining and assembly equipment in accordance with Set up and work instructions

5.4 Verify parts produced Meet Quality standards by completing and documenting Quality checks in accordance with standards at every step of processing

5.5 When needed operate a lift truck to bring and remove product from the area

5.6 Record daily production on production card and scrap produced on scrap card

5.7 Perform daily inspection and TPM's in accordance with instruction.

5.8 Performs general housekeeping duties of area ensuring area is clean for follow on shift

5.9 Performs other assignments as required

5.10 Contribute ideas for Safety, quality, process and 5S improvements within the facility

5.11 Forging Technician

5.12 To machine and assemble outer tie rod ends to meet specifications to produce a quality steering component according to the production schedule.

5.13 Performs other assignments (or duties) as required. 6 ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS

6.1 Set up and operating Goss machining and assembly equipment, including but not limited to, robots, cnc machining center, punch press, threader, washer, bend press, spinner; assemble components prior to spinning.

6.2 Obtain work order and verify that process sheet information is current on machining and assembly prints.

6.3 Operate a lift truck to bring and remove product from the area.

6.4 Verify parts are machined within tolerance and that the correct components are used and noted on the Parts Identification Tag.

6.5 Document measurement of parts.

6.6 Record daily production on production card and scrap produced on scrap card.

6.7 Will rotate between different operations on a predetermined schedule.

6.8 Remove chips, scrap and coolant from area and recharge coolant/lubricant in equipment.

6.9 Performs general housekeeping duties of area.

6.10 Follow information provided on Work Instruction Sheets. 6.11 Comply with all environmental, health, and safety practices, policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe and healthful working environment; prevent pollution, and practice waste minimization to make continual improvements in the safety and health of all employees and the environment. 7 SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL
