Batch Maker

Position Summary The High-Speed Batchmaker is responsible for producing high-quality batches by loading and operating milling and dispersion equipment in accordance with approved formulas, batch tickets, and safety procedures. This role supports production goals by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Load raw materials into ball mills, high-speed dispersion tanks, and blend tanks following batch-ticket instructions and production schedules Operate pumps, meters, agitators, tanks, and related equipment Accurately document raw material usage, process steps, and production time Package finished materials into proper containers for warehouse storage or shipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Communicate production issues or concerns to Supervisors or Lead Personnel Assist with inventory counts and other production-related tasks Follow all safety policies, including GHS and PPE requirements Work assigned schedules and overtime as needed to meet business demands Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of batch-making or related manufacturing experience Demonstrated ability to operate production equipment safely and accurately Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written formulas and procedures Fork Truck Certification (or ability to obtain) Respirator certification (or ability to obtain) Ability to work well in a team-based production environment Physical & Work Environment Requirements Continuous standing and walking Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 100 lbs Frequent bending, twisting, and repetitive motion Ability to work in temperatures up to 105°F Occasional use of a respirator Operation of forklifts and drum dolly equipment Equipment Used Ball Mills and Basket Mills High-Speed Dispersion Equipment Pumps, Meters, Agitators, and Scales Fork Trucks Training & Performance Expectations Successful completion of Batchmaker training program Strong safety record with no reportable accidents Consistent quality performance and attendance Equal Employment Opportunity Tnemec Company, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
