Maintain and monitor the hopper area, ensuring that extruders are loading the correct materials as specified in work orders.
Reclaim and grind materials from production start-ups and off-spec production for reuse.
Collaborate with operators to determine appropriate regrind percentages and availability.
Successfully complete OSHA-approved forklift certification and adhere to all safety guidelines for forklift operation.
Use software tools such as MII, SAP, and Access to accurately document and track material usage and production activities.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of grinders, ensuring materials to be ground are correctly identified.
Accurately label and store ground materials for future use in designated storage areas.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly cleaning equipment, extruders, storage areas, and warehouse aisles.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
Ability to read and interpret fractions; proficient in using a tape measure.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, with the ability to learn other software as needed.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, squatting, lifting, walking, and bending.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
Experience operating a forklift is beneficial, but training may be provided.
