Camden County Road & Bridge Department North Shed 406 Singing Oaks Drive, Sunrise Beach, MO 65079

Position Overview:

Under general supervision, operates heavy motor vehicles and power equipment used in the construction, repair, and maintenance of Camden County streets, roads, and bridges. Performs routine preventative maintenance on assigned equipment, performs supervisory tasks on designated job sites, responds to emergency road conditions, and performs other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation:

Safely and proficiently operates heavy and specialized equipment, including road graders, backhoes, excavators, highlifts, wheel loaders, rollers, pavers, tractors, mowers, chainsaws, dump trucks, snow plows and pickup trucks.

Road Maintenance & Construction:

Operates machinery to patch old pavement, clear and install culvert pipes, excavate poor subgrade soil, level asphalt, clear debris, and perform finish grading.

Emergency & Winter Operations:

Operates snow plows and spreads gravel, sand or salt for winter weather road clearing. Maintains 24/7 on-callavailability for severe weather, emergency road clearance, and public safety calls.

Hauling Operations:

Drives heavy transport vehicles and dump trucks to transport rock, asphalt, dirt, and other construction materials to and from job sites.

Equipment Maintenance:

Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs to equipment and vehicles such as fueling, oil changes and cleaning.
