Job Description
The Assistant Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating thermoforming machinery, which involves setting machine parameters like temperature and pressure while consistently monitoring quality and making adjustments to ensure products meet specifications. This is a very active and fast-paced role that is responsible for meeting production KPI's.
Schedule:
7p-7:15am on a 48/36hr rotating schedule (expect to train on day shift) Job Responsibilities Set up & start-up of Thermoformers and make mechanical and computer adjustments as required meeting or exceeding production standards for the shift Record and monitor line settings and react quickly to any process changes in order to avoid major line disruptions Ensure quality of the product by using calipers, scales, micrometers and/or other measurement devices or equipment Perform all duties pertaining to the operation of a thermoforming machine to produce finished goods in a safe and cost-effective manner, which includes coordination of assigned support staff, and taking appropriate measures to minimize downtime Follow all safety and 5S guidelines - ensure work area remains clean and always organized Lead and enforce safety & Safe Quality Foods processes & procedures Completes all necessary paperwork and entering computer production information, cycle times, daily production numbers, scrap Responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor, production manager, and/or the plant manager. Skills & Qualifications 3+ years' experience in manufacturing, machinery and operations is required
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, and critical thinking SAP and MES experience is preferred Effective verbal and written communication skills Capable of making quality determinations independently Do you have experience working in Thermoforming or as a Plastic Machine Operator? If so, we want you on our team!
