Job Description
Position Summary The Grinding Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the grinding plant, which produces approximately 40% of the raw material used to make brick. This position maintains a steady supply of material for production, monitors equipment performance, identifies problems, assists with repairs, and keeps the work area clean and presentable. Essential Responsibilities Report to work on time and ready to begin the shift with a positive, safety-focused attitude. Operate the grinding plant safely and efficiently while giving the process undivided attention. Keep raw material readily available to support uninterrupted production. Monitor equipment and material flow; recognize unusual noises, stoppages, holes, belt damage, lacing problems, and other conditions outside normal operation. Identify equipment problems promptly, assist with repairs, and obtain help when needed. Keep the entire grinding plant area, including platforms, clean and presentable at all times.
