This is a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing role focused on setting up the laser welding equipment for different pipe diameters, running production, and applying the correct connection ends to finished pipe. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, comfortable working with tools and equipment, and willing to learn the laser-welded pipe process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up the laser welding machine for different pipe diameters and production requirements.
  • Operate the laser equipment to produce welded pipe according to work orders and production specifications.
  • Load, position, and handle pipe and materials safely throughout the production process.
  • Apply the proper connection ends and fittings to completed pipe based on job requirements.
  • Perform basic machine adjustments and changeovers between pipe sizes.
  • Inspect finished pipe for weld quality, fit, dimensions, and overall workmanship.
  • Read and follow work orders, travelers, measurements, and production instructions.
  • Use hand tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment as required.
  • Identify machine, material, or quality issues and communicate them to the supervisor.
  • Keep the laser and surrounding production area clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in other production areas as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • Entry-level position; previous laser operating experience is helpful but not required.
  • Previous manufacturing, fabrication, machine operating, or hands-on mechanical experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn machine setup and changeovers for different pipe diameters.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Dependable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the shift in an active production environment.
  • Ability to lift and handle pipe, fittings, and materials within company guidelines.
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive hands-on tasks.
  • Comfortable working around industrial machinery in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
