Archdale, NC Job Details Full-time $17 - $19 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Measuring tapes Machine setup Equipment setup (production tasks) Maintaining an organized workspace Machine operation Safety regulations Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Shop math High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Safety equipment Clean workspace maintenance Safety standard operating procedures Full Job Description Position Summary The Machine Operator II (Moulder) will be responsible for safely operating and feeding a moulder and making small corrections, as necessary. They will safeguard that the machine is accurately producing the products to customer and company specifications. Essential Responsibilities Sets up and adjusts moulder to specifications for each product assigned. Follows specific directions as defined on route sheet. Ensures proper quality of product coming off machine, inspecting product and discarding product that does not meet standards. Responsible for maintaining proper moulder speed (100 FPM). Communicates any quality issues related to machine operations with Supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications (Required) Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED. Demonstratable experience with moulder set-up skills. Ability to read calipers and tape measure. Must know and understand Basic math including a decimal chart. Effective Interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills Maintain good housekeeping practices. Follow all safety rules and guidelines according to OSHA standard and company policies. Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment. Preferred Qualifications 1 - 2 years' experience in a similar breakout/rough mill or manufacturing atmosphere. Prior experience driving industrial powered equipment. Travel Requirements No travel requirements. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust. 100%: Stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp. 80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception. 50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment. 10%: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending or twisting. Lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Lift, push or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
