Pay rate:
$18.00/hr. Job Overview A Machine Operator will perform a variety of jobs working with various metal fabrication machines, but the primary function will be operating waterjet. A Day In The Life Obtain parts for order per BOM/Drawing. Use waterjet software to create new/modify 2D drawings on computer Assemble or fabricate orders per drawing using correct parts, tools and specifications. Set up and run various presses, sanders, saws, etc. Must maintain a high level of quality and efficiency. Each employee will be responsible for auditing their work as detailed in the standard work/quality instructions, performing quality checks at specified points in the operation. Set up, program and operate CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. What will help you thrive in this role? Safety Awareness Fabrication/Metal Shop machine experience desired Must be able to use a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools. Must be able to work in a team environment and independently. Must be able to read, understand and interpret a variety of drawings. Must be familiar with and able to use a variety of measuring instruments. Must be able to read, understand and follow written work instructions in English. Math and geometry skills required. Must be attentive to details and accuracy. Willing and able to work overtime as needed. Must have good time management skills. Must be willing to wear company provided uniforms. Attendance and performance records will be evaluated. Computer skills Mechanical inclination Must have sense of urgency
Machinery Experience Desired:
Milling Machine (Bridgeport), Waterjet, Various Saws (band, horizontal) Brake press, Drill press, CNC machine Salvagnini laser experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand for periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted and additional weight with assistance.
