division is currently seeking a FAB Machine Operator

• WKND Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. The shift hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: The essential function of the FAB Machine Operator is to perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal processing machinery In this function you will:

• Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations
• Understand / Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor
• Perform initial set-up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines
• Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts
• Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings
• Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation
• Inspect final component against work specifications
• Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment
• Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment
• Provide on-the-job training for new Operators
• Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily
• Complete any other assigned tasks from management or leads

Qualifications:

Required (Basic)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:

• Machining Certificate
• Previous experience in Fabrication
• Previous DMM experience
• Previous experience reading calipers, protractors and tape measures
• Previous experience reading blueprints

Position Criteria:

• Able to lift 35 pounds
• waist, shoulder, overhead
• Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance
• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
• Computer skills
• Microsoft Office (Word), Internet, etc.
• Must be able to work overtime
