division is currently seeking a FAB Senior Copper Machine Operator
  • WKND Shift.
This position is based at our Arden, NC location. The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: The Machine Operator will perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal-processing machinery. In this function, you will:
  • Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations.
  • Receive work assignments and oral or written instructions from the Supervisor.
  • Perform initial setup for operation on PLC
  • analog
  • or manually controlled machines.
  • Operate equipment and machinery to produce parts.
  • Interpret work orders, including written instructions, Kanban cards, and drawings.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation.
  • Inspect final components against work specifications.
  • Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment.
  • Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new Operators.
  • Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily.
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic)
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience reading calipers, protractors, and tape measures.
  • Previous experience reading blueprints.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Arden, NC, facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Machining Certificate.
  • Previous experience in fabrication.
  • Previous DMM experience.
Position Criteria:
  • Able to lift 35 pounds to waist, shoulder, and overhead levels.
  • Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance.
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Internet (JOE), etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime on weekdays and weekends.
