Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce precision parts according to detailed specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output, adherence to safety standards, and efficient production workflows. Duties Set up Mitsubishi laser machines, including programming and calibration using programming . Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication of parts. Operate laser equipment safely while adhering to all safety standards in production and manufacturing environments. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on laser machinery and industrial equipment. Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and GD&T specifications. Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving fabricating sheet metal parts. Maintain detailed records of production activities, quality control checks, and machine performance logs. Requirements Proven experience operating laser cutting equipment with a strong understanding of controls or similar CNC systems. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC programming, CAM programming, and interpreting technical drawings. Familiarity with shop math, mechanical blueprint reading, and dimensional measurements for precision fabrication. Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues efficiently and perform basic mechanical repairs when necessary. Experience working with various manufacturing machinery Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. Hands-on experience with tooling setup, materials handling, packaging processes, and assembly line operations is preferred. Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret factory technical drawings accurately using SolidWorks or similar CAD software is advantageous.
