Pattern Cutter Description Characteristics of the
Class:
Cut dry decorative patterns into specific lengths with an emphasis on quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prioritize material needed to be cut daily. 2. Set up material to be run through cutting machine. 3. Check all material prior to cutting for defective paper and notify management if any is found. 4. Cut material to Product Quality Department specified lengths. 5. Follow all ISO procedures as written. 6. Make sure all material that is cut is cut neat and square. 7. Maintain proper usage of bar code system as required or ORACLE system. 8. Make sure all computer work and paper work has been accurately completed. 9. Roll up runs in neat, easy to handle rolls for the Assembly area. 10. Do needed and stock rewinds when hand cut schedules are covered. 11. Regular attendance required. Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Product Quality Department standards for quality and correct lengths. Knowledge of safety standards applicable to department and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards. Operation of equipment and machinery in a safe manner. Ability to read a tape measure. Working knowledge of computers. Experience One year of work experience. Six months sheeter room or assembly rack experience preferred. Physical Requirements Heavy work. Tasks involves pushing / pulling of material up to 100lbs, lifting up to 85lbs from floor to mid-thigh, lift up to 50lbs from mid-thigh to shoulder, lift 40lbs from shoulder to overhead, carry up to 135lbs and standing and walking during a minimum ten hour shift.
