Job Description
Steel Warehouse is seeking an experienced Mitsubishi Laser Operator to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused individual with hands-on experience operating Mitsubishi laser cutting equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you take pride in producing quality parts, maintaining equipment, and working efficiently, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Set up and operate Mitsubishi laser cutting machines to produce quality parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules. Load and unload raw material using overhead cranes and forklifts (preferred). Verify material type, thickness, and dimensions before processing. Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections using measuring tools. Make machine adjustments to ensure optimal cut quality and productivity. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment. Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate when necessary. Maintain accurate production records. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Work closely with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to meet production goals. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience operating Mitsubishi laser cutting machines required. Experience in a steel service center or metal fabrication environment preferred. Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments. Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and twist throughout a 10-12 hour shift.
