High Point, NC Job Details Full-time From $16 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Machine operation Shop math Attention to detail Manufacturing Hazardous energy control Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a band saw machine to cut polyurethane with precision and efficiency. You will be running a bandsaw and using a hand knife as well. Experience is preferred on bandsaw, but we can train on the hand knife. Regardless of experienced, you will be trained on safety.
Example of your workday:
You would receive an order of what is needed, you find the correct foam grade (will be trained on grades), find the correct pattern for that customer, and trace the pattern to the foam and use the hand knife to cut out the pattern/shape. Using the bandsaw will be needed here because most likely the foam or scrap you collect for your pattern will not already be the correct thickness that is needed. Slit the poly to the correct size. Lastly, label item and take the designated area. Qualifications Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including lockout/tagout procedures and safe machine operation practices Basic math skills for math calculations related to measurements, dimensions, and tolerances Ability to work effectively with hand tools and read a tape measure Excellent attention to detail
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week
