Position:

Machine Operator- Kinston, NC

Job Description & Requirements:

Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools to make parts,mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions.



Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Typically requirescompletion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.



The Company will provide appropriate assistance in job trainingto enable employees to perform all necessary job functions including the following: 1. Produce parts or assemblies using Conventional or Computerized Numerical Controlled mediums.

Skills:

Required

&8226;Must have basic machine operator skills

&8226;Knowledge of station safety, quality (clean as you go / Foreign Object Debris) and OSHA regulations

&8226;Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

&8226;Ability to articulate complex issues to others.

&8226;Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters is essential.

&8226;Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal skills.

Required:

&8226;At least 3 years machine operator experience

&8226;Must be willing and able to work any shift to include working overtime as needed

Preferred:

&8226;5+ years minimum experience in aviation production

Education:

Required

&8226;High School Diploma/GED or WorkKeys Assessment completion
