Full Job Description Summary :
Maintain a constant flow of logs through the Band Saw while using good judgement and following established methods in order to obtain maximum yield. Monitor cants and advise of quality problem immediately in order to precent mis manufactured lumber. Knowledge of Band saw control panel and its total application process. Use good judgment during sawing process in determining maximum yield. Maintain daily saw and equipment preventive maintenance following established procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
1. Excellent attendance 2. Excellent hand/eye coordination 3. Ability to follow handwritten and verbal instruction 4. Able to work independently 5. Follow established EWPI safety rules to include special emphasis on Lock-out/Tag-out procedures (Wait until blades are completely stopped before performing maintenance.) 6. Refer questionable matters to work leader or supervisor 7. Work in a safe manner 8. Maintain clean and orderly work area
