Job Description
Title:
Machine Operator II Lead Reports to: Production Supervision Job brief We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to run our new high-speed HFF bagging machine to be installed in May.- In a fast-paced environment like production, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations and be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs.
- Candidate would need the ability to coach and lead teams and ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.
- This position would have the possibility to move into production management depending upon performance. Responsibilities
- Organization o Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees o Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and adhering to schedules o Oversee and coach employees and hold employees accountable to company standards.
- Safety o Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance o Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures o Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards o
- Enhance Productivity o Learn machines to expert level and train line leads to maintain them. o Check production output according to specifications o Submit reports on performance and progress o Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements o Use our production management system (Redzone) to monitor results and improvements. o Troubleshoot machines when not running efficiently
- Fix minor issues on machines and be able to clearly communicate to Maintenance more technical issues when machines are not performing adequately. Requirements
- Proven experience as Production Supervisor, Maintenance supervisor, or similar role
- Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
- Advanced skills in MS Office
- Organizational and leadership abilities
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Problem-solving skills
- High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
- Bilingual would be a plus!
