LASER OPERATOR - 2ND SHIFT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating laser cutting equipment, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring precision in metal fabrication. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate laser cutting machines efficiently and accurately. Adjust laser settings as needed to ensure high-quality cuts based on material and job specifications. Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures to inspect and verify dimensions. Maintain the cleanliness of the laser equipment and surrounding work area. Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Communicate any machine issues or material inconsistencies to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements:

Prior experience operating laser cutting machinery. Proficient in reading and interpreting measurements using calipers and tape measures. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Reliable transportation to and from the worksite. Ability to work efficiently and independently. Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift as required by the job. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience with metal fabrication or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with CNC laser systems or similar industrial machines.
