Experienced Film Production & Batch Operator -
Night Shift Schedule:
2-2-3 rotation (12 hour shifts)Shift:
7:45pm to 8:00 amPay Rate:
$19 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Film Production & Batch Operator for a manufacturing facility in Statesville, NC. This is not an entry-level machine operator position. The operator will prepare and mix material batches, operate film-production equipment, and monitor the manufacturing process to ensure the finished film meets quality specifications. Candidates should have previous experience with industrial batching, mixing, compounding, plastics manufacturing, film production, extrusion, or similar process-driven equipment. Responsibilities Measure, weigh, mix, and prepare raw materials according to production formulas and work orders. Load prepared material into the production equipment. Set up, operate, and monitor film-production machinery. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality and production requirements. Monitor material flow, temperatures, speeds, and other operating conditions. Inspect finished film for thickness, consistency, appearance, defects, and overall quality. Complete required batch records and production paperwork accurately. Perform product changeovers and assist with equipment setup. Identify equipment or quality issues and make basic operating adjustments. Communicate mechanical problems to maintenance or production leadership. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures. Qualifications Previous experience in industrial mixing, batching, compounding, plastics, film production, extrusion, or a related manufacturing process is required. Experience operating process-based production machinery. Ability to follow formulas, measurements, written instructions, and production specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Comfortable working around raw materials and manufacturing equipment. Ability to stand for the majority of the shift and perform the physical requirements of the position. Dependable attendance and the ability to work a 12-hour schedule. High school diploma or GED preferred.
