General Machine Operator 2nd Shift Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role requires the ability to follow detailed work instructions, troubleshoot equipment issues, inspect finished products, and maintain a safe and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and prepare machines for production runs according to work orders and specifications. Control, monitor, and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal production performance. Feed raw materials or parts into semi-automated production machines. Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and make adjustments to minimize downtime. Inspect equipment before and during operation to ensure it is functioning properly. Read, interpret, and complete work orders accurately. Perform routine quality inspections and tests to verify products meet company standards. Use tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure product dimensions are accurate. Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Report equipment issues, production concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly. Assist with preventive maintenance and routine equipment care as needed. Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license required. Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred. Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb as needed. Manual dexterity to safely operate machinery and use hand tools. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving mechanical equipment. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production demands. #
