Role:
The Poly Cutter plays a critical role in the manufacturing and production process by accurately cutting poly materials according to specified patterns and measurements. This position ensures that all cut materials meet quality standards and are prepared efficiently for subsequent stages of production. The Poly Cutter must maintain a high level of precision and attention to detail to minimize waste and optimize material usage. Safety is paramount, as the role involves handling sharp cutting tools and operating saws in a controlled environment. Ultimately, the Poly Cutter contributes to the overall success of the production line by delivering consistently precise and safe cutting operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience in pattern cutting or a related cutting role. Demonstrated proficiency with knife handling and cutting tools. Knowledge of saw safety procedures and safe operation of cutting equipment. Ability to read and interpret cutting patterns and technical instructions. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely. Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment. Familiarity with different types of poly/foam materials and their properties preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Responsibilities:
Interpret and follow detailed cutting patterns and specifications to accurately cut poly materials. Order necessary product from saw department to produce the customers order. Operate cutting tools such as knives and saws safely and efficiently to produce high-quality cuts. Inspect cut materials for defects or inconsistencies and report any issues to supervisors. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines related to knife handling and saw operation. Minimize waste.
