Hiring:
Print Press Operator Location:
Thomasville, NC Openwork is seeking an experienced Print Press Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Thomasville, NC. This is a long-term opportunity offering competitive pay based on experience, ranging from $20.00-$25.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing equipment used to produce labels, packaging, and other branded materials. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up printing presses according to job specifications, including colors, plates, and materials.
  • Load paper, labels, ink, and other materials into the equipment.
  • Monitor production to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
  • Perform quality inspections, including checking color accuracy, alignment, and print clarity.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments to the press.
  • Clean and perform routine maintenance on printing equipment.
  • Read and interpret work orders and production schedules.
  • Record production data and report any defects or equipment issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience operating printing presses or manufactng equipment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with flexographic, digital, or offset printing presses is a plus.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a manufacturing environment producing labels, packaging, and promotional materials. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Compensation:
    Pay:
    $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience
