Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Feedmill Manager to join our family owned feedlot. You will support the overall operations of the feedmill facility, ensuring smooth receipt of commodities and consistent feeding of the cattle. Your hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude will help maintain smooth machine operation, oversee material handling, and uphold safety standards across all processes. Duties Assist in managing daily feedmill operations, including overseeing equipment performance and feeding schedules Support maintenance activities by identifying mechanical issues and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime Operate various machinery and material handling equipment safely, including payloaders, tractors, forklifts, augers, and grain handling systems Ensure adherence to safety protocols Assist in Monitoring ration inputs and, maintaining computerized records of feed stuffs. Assist in routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and safety systems Requirements Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as payloaders, forklifts, tractors, augers, etc. Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record-keeping tasks Familiarity with equipment maintenance routines Ability to perform lifting up to 50 pounds safely Join us in this family business! Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
