Job Description

Job Scope:
As a member of the BRC Compounding Team, the Compounder will assist the compounding department to ensure high quality uncured rubber is readily available for production. This position requires measuring chemicals, operating equipment, as well as prepping and forming the uncured rubber material for production. This position is the first and crucial step to ensuring good quality products are produced here at Bruckman Rubber Co.
Responsibilities:
Read work orders to determine product specifications or material requirements Accurately weigh and measure various chemical ingredients such as oils, powders, and solids according to a written recipe Operate various pieces of machinery to complete the successful mixing of chemical ingredients Utilizing scissors, utility blades, and other tools to form and shape the uncured rubber following the mixing process Move products, materials, or ingredients between work areas using carts, electric pallet jack, or forklift Count and/or weight and bundle items for production and shipping Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations Other duties as assigned

Attention to detail with a sense of urgency Ability to shift from one job task to the next with confidence Independent thinking with minimal supervision Read and follow written work instructions We offer flexible scheduling to work around your schedule. Hourly wage rate is based on prior experience.
