We help our customers meet their goals in the areas of production yields, sanitary designs, equipment reliability, labor costs, food safety and ergonomics and to meet these goals in a timely and cost-effective manner. Overview Millard Manufacturing is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will fabricate raw materials to precise specifications for both internal assembly operations and direct-to-customer shipment. The Machine Operator will set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including but not limited to power band saws, powered shears, powered rollers, press brakes, water jet, laser cutter, punch press and other fabrication equipment. Job Duties Set up and operate production/fabrication equipment, powered and hand tools Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided) Perform light maintenance on machines Perform de-burring operations after cutting Mark parts for identification and ensure conformance to specifications Read and interpret bills of materials Use tape measures and other measuring devices accurately Enter detailed data into shop floor computer terminals Maintain clean and organized production areas Stand and walk throughout the workday Lift up to and occasionally exceeding 100 pounds Qualifications Prefer high school graduate or GED with at least 6 months similar job experience Valid driver's license required (for transporting materials via company truck) Prior knowledge of metal materials (shapes, sizes, types) helpful but not required Mechanical aptitude a plus
