PACKAGING TECHNICIAN PACKAGING TECHNICIAN WHO WE ARE

Kros Strain Brewing is a production brewery located in LaVista, Nebraska (Omaha Metro area). Known for our popular Hazy IPAs and Cornhusker Crusher, the Official Craft Beer of Nebraska Athletics. We also brew a wide range of beers, including lagers, sour and barrel-aged styles, and experiment with ingredients and processes routinely. The brewery has a custom 20bbl 4-vessel brewhouse capable of multiple batches per day. We package in 12 and 16oz cans with an ABE 70cpm filler, ABE depalletizer, Filtec, and Pak Tech Applicator. Kros Strain Brewing is located within minutes of 4 other breweries and a distillery, right off of a bike path, and within the Exit 442 Fermentation District in the Omaha metro area. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a packaging tech you will be responsible for properly canning all beer! This is a critical step in the brewing process. It involves properly cleaning and sanitizing the equipment and operating a number of machines to ensure a quality final product. You will have great control over how well the machines run and how well the beer is packaged. If you can think on your feet, operate independently, and have some mechanical abilities, please consider this position. The Packaging Technician is primarily responsible for:

• Assist with Operating our two canning lines
• Following all SOP for operating, cleaning, and sanitizing canning equipment
• Performing routine seam check analysis with seam saw and software
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on various equipment
• Receive raw materials, rotate inventory(FIFO), and take monthly inventories.
• Changing equipment over from 12oz to 16oz size
• Assisting with keg cleaning and other cellar tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment
• Follow all safety regulations at all times including use of PPE
• Ability to multi task, using good time management
• Fork Lift certified or ability to obtain certification within a timely manner.
• Able to lift up to 55lbs regularly and move up to 160lbs as needed.
• Workday hours can vary but are generally 8AM-4PM Monday - Friday Prior experience is not necessary.

• Be a team player and able to help where needed
• Have forklift experience
• Be able to think on their feet under pressure

JOB REQUIREMENTS

This is a full-time position. Shifts are primarily on weekdays. Start times can range from 8am to 10am and end times are highly variable. Currently, we do not package on the weekends but it may be necessary at times during the busy season. Applicants must be able to handle full cases of beer routinely and be able to work standing for long periods in a hot and humid environment.
