Laser Operator (2nd Shift)

Join our client's team as a Laser Operator and play a key role in producing high-quality components using cutting-edge CNC and fabrication equipment. Position Summary As a Laser Operator, you will set up and operate fabrication and CNC equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials to precise specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses Accurately measure and cut materials to meet production specifications Operate CNC machines to achieve required parts-per-hour production goals Perform basic machine setups, including changing punches, dies, bits, and saw blades Read and interpret blueprints and measurement tools (tape measures, calipers) Rotate between workstations as production needs require Maintain machinery by cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components Assist with inventory control, both physically and within systems Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams Follow all safety standards and hold others accountable to the same Maintain a clean and organized work environment Perform additional duties as assigned to support safety, quality, and production goals Qualifications Knowledge of metal cutting and punching processes preferred Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to learn CNC programming and machine operation Ability to communicate with technical support teams and equipment technicians Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus (or willingness to be trained) Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment Must be able to communicate in English What We Offer Full-time, stable 2nd shift schedule Competitive hourly pay Opportunity to learn advanced manufacturing and CNC skills Career growth in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment Apply Now Ready to take the next step in a high-demand manufacturing role?
