Production Manager Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator / Manufacturing Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing facility in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of manufacturing experience and hands-on experience with machine operation, machine setup, quality inspection, measuring tools, blueprint reading, and basic troubleshooting . This is a great opportunity for a dependable, detail-oriented individual looking for a temp-to-hire manufacturing job with a consistent Monday-Thursday schedule. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate multiple production machines and manufacturing equipment . Operate machinery to produce metal parts, including nuts, bolts, rods, and threaded fasteners . Perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting . Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality and production standards . Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures for accurate measurements. Read and follow blueprints, shop prints, work instructions, and production specifications . Identify, separate, and document defective and acceptable parts . Complete quality inspection records, production reports, quality cards, and time tracking . Move raw materials, work-in-process materials, and finished products. Package finished goods according to production requirements. Perform routine machine maintenance and make basic operational adjustments. Use pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing/production work area . Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures . Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience . Previous machine operator or production machine operator experience . Ability to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop prints . Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and tape measures . Basic machine operation, setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and safety . Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Preferred Qualifications Experience in metal manufacturing, metal fabrication, machining, or industrial production . Previous forklift or material-handling experience . Experience working with CNC machines, industrial machinery, or production equipment . Strong mechanical aptitude. Team-oriented and dependable. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 70 lbs. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production environment. Ability to work a 10-hour shift . Comfortable working in hot and cold warehouse/factory conditions. Work Environment Manufacturing / factory / industrial production environment. Facility is heated but not air-conditioned . PPE is required, including: Safety glasses Steel-toe boots Hearing protection in designated areas Pre-Employment Requirements Candidates must successfully complete the following before starting: Drug test
