  • 6:15 AM) What You'll Do The 2-Way Machine Operator position is a full-time, permanent role within a manufacturing environment, specializing in the production of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab (break-open) tickets.
The 2-Way Machine Operator is responsible for the precise cutting, finishing, and quality control of tickets while operating and maintaining specialized printing and finishing equipment. This role requires a strong background in machine operation, production workflows and print manufacturing to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess 3 to 5 years of experience in a crew-based manufacturing setting, with expertise in machine operations, bindery, printing, feeder operation and finishing processes.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Operate and maintain 2-Way Machines, ensuring proper setup, operation and quality control throughout the production process. Set up and calibrate equipment per game documentation, job specifications and work schedules. Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure production efficiency. Inspect product quality by conducting regular checks on output, ensuring compliance with specifications, and making real-time adjustments as needed. Work closely with other departments to optimize production efficiency and meet deadlines. Review and interpret production schedules, game documentation and job instructions to ensure accurate execution. Ensure correct labeling and documentation in accordance with company procedures and quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and maximize operational efficiency. Train and lead feeder operators and other crew members, fostering teamwork and knowledge-sharing. Follow all safety policies, guidelines and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment. Ensure proper material handling and organization, reducing waste and improving workflow. Contribute to process improvements, recommending ways to optimize production, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Assist in reviewing upcoming jobs and collaborate with leadership on optimizing production strategies. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need High School Diploma or GED. 2 to 4 years of technical training or experience in machine operation, printing or related fields. 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing, specifically in machine operation, feeder operation, print production or bindery. Experience with die-cutting and web press printing a plus. Comprehensive computer experience, including proficiency in operating machine interfaces and tracking and analyzing production data. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues. Ability to lead and train a team, ensuring smooth production flow. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and team coordination. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in production processes. Ability to analyze and improve processes, identifying ways to enhance efficiency and quality. Ability to work well in a diverse environment. External candidates must be a US Citizen/Permanent Resident.
