How would you contribute? This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Omaha team, located in Omaha, NE. As a Mold Process Specialist, you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. The Mold Process Specialist (MPS) is a key role in our injection molding operations. This position requires a deep understanding of complex injection molding processes, troubleshooting, and machine optimization. The MPS will assist and train Mold Specialists in technical repairs, coordinate new product and machine testing, and ensure efficient and high-quality production. This position may require the employee to work on various types of equipment and in various areas as needed to fulfill job responsibilities and business needs.

Essential Duties:

Assist Mold Specialists with complex technical repairs and troubleshooting. Mentor and train Mold Specialists on technical skills, process knowledge, and problem-solving techniques. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to molding machines, tooling, and automation systems. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on molding equipment. Disassemble and reassemble mold tooling as needed. Monitor and optimize molding processes to achieve desired quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Implement process changes and adjustments to improve product quality and reduce scrap rates. Communicate with other shifts and departments about molding machine problems, quality problems and changes in molding process and handling, including any associated documentation. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production operations. Assist leaders in coordinating daily Mold Specialist assignments, preventative maintenance and job changeovers ensuring adherence to safety, and quality standards. Perform daily audits of assigned areas at the beginning of shift, coordinating with other MPS, Mold Specialist, Process Technicians, and other leaders as needed. Perform machine start-up and shut down to required procedures. Provide product acceptability information to packers after completion of machine adjustments and/or color changes. Review production schedule and make color and material changes during the shift to prevent overruns. Review quality, inspections, and reports with the Area Leader and/or Quality Assurance Technicians and follow up on items needing technical corrections. Report questionable products to Quality Auditors and/or Area Leader and make timely adjustments. Inspect and verify product quality to meet customer specifications. Identify and resolve quality issues promptly. Implement corrective actions to prevent future quality problems. Maintain safety and housekeeping expectations, report potential machine or work hazards, respond immediately to emergency machine problems, and ensure the safety of co-workers within designated work area. Maintain accurate computer logs to include documenting adjustments, resolutions and support requested. Continually develop technical knowledge by actively working and learning alongside experienced team members. Maintain company attendance standards. Report food safety concerns to management. Certifications:

Complete and pass a technical aptitude test. Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Or two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does not have personnel supervisory responsibilities; however, this role includes working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization and may assist in training other team members.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
