Shift Differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift is $2.00 over base pay per hour.A Brief Summary:
Valmont is seeking motivated and skilled individuals to join our team in a variety of Machine Operating roles. Opportunities include Paint Associate, Parts Inspector, Tubing Inspector, among others. Depending on the role, the Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining assigned equipment while performing a variety of production-related tasks. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the production team to meet departmental objectives and customer requirements. This role is also critical to maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to all safety standards, and completing daily Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities.Essential Functions:
•(Functions may vary based on the specific position and equipment operated) Operate a variety of drills, saws, and cut-off machines in accordance with production requirements. Verify machine programs and settings to ensure compliance with blueprint specifications. Read, interpret, and accurately follow production blueprints, technical manuals, and work instructions. Demonstrate initiative by identifying and suggesting improvements to enhance machine efficiency and parts production. Participate in Lean initiatives and other team-based improvement projects. Perform physical tasks including bending, pivoting, lifting, pushing, and pulling materials weighing up to 25 pounds throughout the shift.Qualifications:
•(Qualifications may vary based on the specific position and equipment operated) Hands-on experience with machining operations such as drilling, turning, tapping, sawing, crane operation, mill work, forklift operation, CNC machining, robotic welding, and automated cut-off machines. Proficiency in using computers to enter production data, perform timekeeping functions, and interface with machines and related equipment. Ability to accurately use measurement and inspection tools, including tape measures, calculators, tri-squares, thread gauges, calipers, micrometers, specialty gauges, and plug gauges. Ability to machine finished parts from castings and raw materials in accordance with specifications. Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Prior experience with MFG Pro or QAD applications is preferred.Job Type:
