Spotlight Call Notes:
Inserter Operators will process mails for Client. The role involves loading papers into the machine and operating the machine throughout the shift. Workers will be required to stand for 8 hours straight while operating the machine. Prior experience operating machinery or working in a factory environment is good to have but not required, as anyone can be trained for the role. No college degree is required. The team is looking for someone dependable and detail oriented.
Training Plan:
A structured 4 week training program will be provided: Week 1: Worker will shadow the operator and observe daily operations and processes Week 2: Worker will gradually begin operating the machine with guidance from the operator Weeks 3 & 4: The operator will slowly step back, allowing the worker to operate the machine more independently with limited supervision Workers will also receive training on each shifts.
Interview Process:
1 hour in-person panel interview Includes a tour of the production floor
Job Description:
Mail Insert Operator (High-Speed Inserters) The Mail Insert Operator is responsible for operating high-speed inserters to efficiently process and insert various materials into envelopes or mailers. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to established quality and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate high-speed inserters to assemble and insert materials into envelopes or mailers.
  • Ensure proper setup and adjustment of equipment to handle different sizes and types of materials.
  • Monitor the inserters during operation to ensure smooth operation and prevent jams or malfunctions.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of inserters to maintain optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production goals and prioritize job orders.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of inserted materials, addressing any issues or discrepancies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or technical problems related to inserters.
  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience operating high-speed inserters or similar machinery is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret job orders, production schedules, and quality specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working at a fast pace.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and guidelines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work overtime if necessary
